During his lifetime Pastor Ward baptized more than 5,000 precious souls into the Seventh-day Adventist Church and also spread the Gospel through radio evangelism and weekly newspaper columns.
In October 2002, Pastor Ward suffered a massive stroke, which left him partially paralyzed, wheelchair bound, and in need of 24-hour care. Despite his challenging medical condition, he never complained and was always grateful for what others did for him. At home, with his loving wife of 56 years still by his side, he went to sleep peacefully in the Lord in the early hours of Thursday morning, April 29, 2004.
Elder Walter Pearson, Former Speaker/Director of Breath of Life Telecast suffered a mild stroke first in 2006, which consequently began the road of some health challenges following the death of his wife in 2009. This Man of God's ministry as former Pastor to Atlanta Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church and now Speaker Emeritus of Breath of Life Telecast worldwide was significantly effected when he retired in 2010.
We are blessed to have Pastor Pearson alive with us, but look forward to the day when Jesus comes back for us and all sickness will be done away with. Until then, we are committed to help with awareness and prevention of stroke for all people.
